Superhero fatigue hasn’t slowed this genre down, as there’s still a demand for many comics to be made into movies. With the potential for plenty of thrilling and epic adventures, here’s the rundown of 12 comic book movies set to happen soon.

Justice League Dark

Warner Bros. / Through YouTube

Starring John Constantine, Zatanna, and Swamp Thing, this film would be a refreshing departure from the sci-fi threats the Justice League typically faces, as it focuses more on the supernatural. It could also allow DC to lean into the horror aspects of its universe to create the dark fantasy that fans are dying to see.

Batman: Hush

Warner Bros. / Through YouTube

Fans Speculated What They’ll See In Matt Reeves’ Sequel The Batman, but the film sowed the seeds for a truly exciting sequel. In the blink of an eye and you’ll miss it, we see that the journalist Thomas Wayne who was inadvertently murdered was Edward Elliot, who could have been the father of Thomas Elliot, aka Hush. It’s the perfect setup for the villain to appear in the sequel as he tries to exact revenge on Bruce for his father’s sins.

king in black

Knull is one of the biggest villains to come out of Marvel Comics in recent years. As the God of Symbiotes, Knull caused a lot of havoc in the cosmos in the “King in Black” storyline. If done right, this eldritch deity could be the Thanos of Sony’s Spider-Man universe as he meets Tom Hardy’s Venom, forcing him to form his own team in an exciting crossover event.

Batman vs. Deathstroke

Warner Bros. / Through YouTube

Joe Manganiello never got the chance to show his true potential as Deathstroke after the brutal failure of Justice League. He was supposed to appear in Ben Affleck’s Batman solo movie, and although that movie was long since canceled, fans have repeatedly expressed their desire to see the Dark Knight take on this masked assassin on film, so this is the perfect timing for #MaketheBatfleckMovie.

new gods

Warner Bros. / Through YouTube

Ava DuVernay was slated to direct a movie about DC’s New Gods, but that movie was shelved indefinitely after. Zack Snyder’s Justice League. Fans were left disappointed by this unfortunate decision and hopefully they will see this project take off and hit theaters. If you were not satisfied by Marvel Studios Eternalsthen the New Gods could succeed where this film failed and create a cosmic epic worthy of Jack Kirby’s exceptional story.

Marvel Studios / Via YouTube

With Ms. Marvel and Ironheart confirmed in the MCU, the studio now has the opportunity to introduce this team of young superheroes to its audience. This team was formed by Ms. Marvel after becoming disillusioned with the moral failure of the Avengers. A film about this new generation of heroes would be the perfect transition for the MCU following the events of End of Game, and maybe they lead there with the next Ms. Marvel series.

Green Lantern Corps

Warner Bros. / Through YouTube

Green Lantern has yet to adapt the film to his character and the cosmic world he inhabits. For years DC planned to make a movie about the Green Lantern Corps and rectify the mistakes they made the first time around, but so far nothing new has come out other than a few cameos in Justice League. If any hero deserves a movie right now, it’s Green Lantern.

Spider-Man vs. Venom

Sony/Via YouTube

Sony’s Spider-Man universe expands until Lethal Protector meets the web-slinger, and fans can’t wait to see it all pay off. Whether or not Tom Holland is the one to take on Venom, Spider-Man deserves a second chance to fight him after Spiderman 3 failed to do it the right way.

Superman & Shazam vs. Black Adam

Warner Bros. / via youtube.com

At this point, we know that Zachary Levi’s Shazam will take on The Rock’s Black Adam. But what would make this clash of the titans even better is if Henry Cavill’s Man of Steel joins the fight. These three are some of the strongest characters in the DC Universe, so seeing them come together in an epic battle is sure to draw people into theaters.

Avengers vs. X-Men

Marvel / Via YouTube

This Could Very Well Be The MCU’s Next Civil war. Marvel Studios looks set to introduce mutants into their cinematic universe with the next Doctor Strange movie, and hopefully we’ll see the X-Men go head-to-head with Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in a truly massive blockbuster event. It could also give Marvel a chance to do the “Dark Phoenix Saga” justice onscreen, as the Phoenix Force was an integral part of that “AvX” storyline.

Justice League vs. Darkseid

Warner Bros. / Through YouTube

Whether or not Zack Snyder returns to the DCEU, we have yet to see the Justice League take on the god of mischief, Darkseid. The Snyder Cut set up an epic battle between the League and the alien tyrant, and this battle of the gods could undoubtedly be a great fight on par with the Avengers’ war against Thanos. Who wouldn’t want to see that?

Secret Wars

Marvel / Via youtube.com

Fans are hoping for the sequel to Avengers: Endgame will adapt this classic comic book storyline. In this one, a handful of heroes and villains are brought to Battleworld to do battle by the almighty Beyonder, but with the rise of the multiverse, we might instead see worlds collide and our heroes rush to save them. like in the comic book sequel. The Russo Brothers have shared their desire to return to direct a Secret Wars movie for Marvel, and if this filmmaking duo leads the project, we’ll know it’s in good hands.
