Computer company Grays launches international cartoon competition


A THURROCK-based computer company organized an international cartoon competition whose task was “to express computer and technological problems in today’s business environment.”

It is the first of its kind in the UK and quickly attracted over 500 entries from 148 world-class artists from 43 different countries.

It has been described as “one of the most important international cartoon events held in Britain, if not the biggest !.

A spokesperson said: “This campaign aims to increase public awareness of computer and technological issues in life today.

Therefore, we have uploaded all the works submitted for the competition to an online gallery, where the public can vote for their favorite work.

Voting will continue until September 7, 2021 and four works will be awarded the People’s Choice Award.

A jury of three internationally renowned professional cartoonists will select the winners of the 1st TechVertu International Cartoon Competition, and the announcement will take place via a Microsoft Teams event on September 9.
