The game lends itself incredibly well to many different mediums, including comics and manga, animated or CGI movies, and even books that expand the lore (remember that the author of A Song of Ice and Fire, George RR Martin, helped set the framework for the series’ lore).

This isn’t the first time Elden Ring transmedia has been mentioned. Bandai Namco said something about non-game related content Elden Ring in March 2022:

“Please look forward to more “ELDEN RING” as IP (characters and other intellectual properties) in the hope of expanding beyond the realm of games,” the editor said at the time.

FromSoftware also just raised over $250 million in capital to help fund new games and its self-publishing ambitions. Sony and Tencent bought 30% of FromSoftware’s total shares for $259.5 million.
