Everything you need to know ahead of the Season 3 premiere

The Summer 2022 anime season is in its final stretch, and at this point it’s clear that it was just mediocre compared to stronger seasons such as Fall 2021 and Winter 2022, although she had some highlights such as Suzerainthe fourth season and even Engage the kiss. However, the fall 2022 anime season promises to be much more exciting, with many returning titles such as Welcome to the school of demons, Iruma-kun!.

This is a charming and colorful isekai anime series that dodges many isekai tropes such as self-inserting hero OP, convenient harems, and more. Iruma-kun! looks more like a western cartoon, featuring lovable characters with strong personalities, a stylish demonic setting, lots of humor, and creative action sequences. Anime fans should definitely refresh the Iruma-kun! anime so they can dive right in when the third season airs in October.

The story and characters of Welcome to Demon School, Iruma-kun!

Welcome to the school of demons, Iruma-kun! features the gentle but kind protagonist Iruma Suzuki – a humble, hard-working boy whose selfish parents sold him to the demon lord Sullivan for money. That’s how Iruma ended up in the vast demonic world of darkness, but fortunately for him, it’s a relatively tame underworld – a realm of goofy demons and peace rather than real hell. Even better, Iruma’s owner, Sullivan, is now his kind-hearted adoptive grandfather, who is happy to spoil Iruma and protect him from all the other demons. In that sense, the helpless Iruma was lucky, but there is a catch. Iruma, as a 14-year-old boy, has to go to school, and he is now enrolled in Babyls, a school for young demons of all shapes and sizes. Even with a demonic disguise, Iruma is surrounded by danger every day, but in time he will get used to it and even make a name for himself here.

Iruma wishes to blend in and not draw attention to himself, but he can’t help but get in trouble anyway and steal the show. He quickly befriended the obnoxious but friendly troublemaker Valac Clara, a demon girl with green hair, then he befriended the aristocratic Asmodeus Alice, a model student, and this trio really stands out at Babyls. Time and time again, Iruma has unwittingly taken center stage with the arcane power of his Ring of Solomon or by getting dragged into battles, much to the chagrin of his teacher Naberious Kalego.

Most recently in Season 2, Iruma overcame whole new challenges and really grew as a person. He heroically saved the day at the Walter Park theme park when his evil classmate Kiriwo made his choice. Kiriwo once acted as Iruma’s friend, but this boy actually serves the evil demon Baal, who is sure to take another leap in the upcoming Season 3. Meanwhile, Iruma and his handsome and smart classmate Azazel Ameri have grown much closer, and Iruma has even awakened his own “evil” form – a more arrogant and assertive version of himself.

Finally, Iruma and his classmates in the Delinquent Class must strive to reach Rank 4 at all costs this year or risk losing the privilege of using the luxurious Royal One classroom forever. Iruma Suzuki already has a lot on his plate, from that promotion challenge to his many friendships and his growing reputation as a hero, and there’s even a prophecy suggesting that he may one day become the new Demon King. Poor Iruma just wanted a quiet, anonymous life in the Netherworld, but now he’s at the center of it all, like it or not, and there’s no way out. Iruma must become a Zero Hero turned Demonic in Season 3, or his fate is sealed.
