While little is known about the specifics of this all-new horror series, the preview released by BOOM! Both studios and the brief description of the comic indicate that the miniseries will be a retelling of the classic story of a mad scientist obsessed with creating life in the most grotesque way imaginable. This is not surprising since RL Stine’s earlier work, notably Goose bumps– seems to draw heavily on elements of classic horror. The reason RL Stine stands out, however, is due to his ability to take familiar elements of classic horror and twist them into new, original stories that are vastly entertaining and decidedly chilling.

From the premise revolving around the unholy exploits of deranged scientists, to the excitement within the creative team itself about the gruesome horror to come, R. L. Stineit is Nightmare stuff promises to be an adult series Goose bumps fans won’t want to miss.
