Mob Psycho 100 Season 3 will unveil a major update at Anime Expo

Mob Psycho 100 will return for its third season later this fall after a long wait, and it’s preparing to reveal new information about the upcoming season at Anime Expo! The series’ third season is one of the most anticipated releases on the fall 2022 anime schedule as a whole (which is impressive considering the amount of major contenders), and Crunchyroll recently confirmed that they had acquired the license outside of Japan so fans could stream the series alongside the new episodes. And they are bringing the new season to Anime Expo to celebrate.

Crunchyroll has announced that Warner Bros. Japan will organize a special panel for Mob Psycho 100 Season 3 during Anime Expo. Kicking off July 3 at 6:30 p.m. PST at JW Mariott during the convention, the panel promises an update with the debut of the opening theme song. Crunchyroll describes the new panel as follows: “If you can’t wait for the October premiere of Mob Psycho 100 III, come join this launch panel! Find out what to expect in the upcoming season, including the world premiere of the OP theme song reveal!!!”

While those not attending Anime Expo will not be able to attend the panel, Crunchyroll promises Anime Expo social media updates as they occur. It is therefore likely that we will all be able to experience this new update as well! If you wanted to check Mob Psycho 100′s first two seasons before the third hits, you can find its entire current stream with Crunchyroll. They tease the upcoming third season as such:

“Shigeo Kageyama, aka “Mob”, is a boy who has difficulty expressing himself, but happens to be a powerful esper. Mob is determined to live a normal life and keeps his ESP suppressed, but when his emotions reach a At 100% level, something terrible is happening to him! Surrounded by fake espers, evil spirits and mysterious organizations, what will Mob think? What choices will he make?

What do you think? What do you expect to see from Mob Psycho 100 Season 3 during Anime Expo? What are you hoping to see from the new season as a whole?
