The Duffer Brothers React To Millie Bobby Brown Calling It ‘Sensitive Exits’ For Not Killing More Characters

The fourth season of stranger things is now streaming on Netflix, marking the penultimate season of the beloved series. The final two episodes dropped last week and there were some big deaths that brought some fans and other fans online to tears. However, not as many characters died as people initially thought. While most fans were sighing in relief at the end of the season, there was one person who wanted a little more bloodshed. Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven) spoke with The envelope in May and called stranger things creators, Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer, “Sensitive Sallies” for not killing off more characters like game of thrones.

“They have to kill people, it’s too big,” joked Noah Schnapp (Will Byers) before Brown intervened. “It’s way too big. Last night we couldn’t even take a group photo because there were about 50 of us. I was like, you gotta start killing people.” She added, “The Duffer brothers are two sensitive Sallies who don’t want to kill anyone… We have to be game of thrones. We must have the spirit of game of thrones.”

In a recent interview with the Happy, sad, confused podcast, the Duffer Brothers responded to Brown’s comments.

“What did Millie call us? She said we were ‘Sensitive Sallies’. She’s hilarious. Believe us, we explored every option in the writing room,” Matt said. He added: “Just as a complete assumption, if you kill Mike it’s like… It’s depressing… We’re not game of thrones. It’s Hawkins, it’s not Westeros. The show becomes no stranger things more because you have to deal with it realistically, right?”

Duffer went on to tease that more deaths may be “on the table” as “they’re heading towards the end” of the series. He then joked, “This is me defending myself against these Millie Bobby Brown accusations and explaining that there are lives behind this, and it has nothing to do with my sensitivity. So there you go, Millie.”
