Peace and love to St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church and the heartbroken community of Vestavia Hills as they reel in the shock of Thursday night’s church shooting that claimed the lives of three parishioners.
The victims killed are Walter “Bart” Rainey, 84, of Irondale, Sarah Yeager, 75, of Pelham and Jane Pounds, 84, of Hoover.
“Silence is truly the bosom of God,” Bishop Glenda Curry said in a somber sermon today at St. Luke’s Episcopal in Mountain Brook. “He will hold us and heal us.”
